Sunday
school - At First Baptist Church we use The Gospel Project curriculum in the
children’s classes. This curriculum
moves through the Bible in chronological order which allows children to connect
the independent stories together and see the overall story of God’s love. Children are divided into classrooms by
ages. All Classrooms are on the ground
floor of the sanctuary building easily accessed by the Family Life Center
entrance.
Sunday Mornings
Sunday
mornings are a fun time of learning together at First Baptist Church. We offer many opportunities for Children to
connect with God and grow in their faith.
We offer Sunday school from 9:45-10:40 and Kids at Worship during each
worship service. If you’re new to
Sunday mornings and would like more information please stop by the nursery
front desk (E002) to meet with Melissa.
You can also schedule a meeting or tour of the children’s area by
contacting Melissa at (704) 873-7231 or melissa@statesvillefbc.org.
Kids at Worship– We
believe that it is important for families to worship together, but we also
realize that young children need to be active and engaged in age appropriate
activities. Kids at Worship is our
solution. Children come to worship with
their families and are dismissed to Kids at Worship at the appropriate time. During Kids at Worship the Bible passage is tied to the Sunday school
lesson so that we can delve deeper in to God’s word. The kids also share prayer concerns, do
crafts, and build relationships with each other. Kids at Worship takes place in the Craft
Room, which is located on the main floor of the church, from the Family Life
Center take the elevator to level 1 and we will be on the left from the
Sanctuary we are off the main hallway leading to the large parking lot. Children will only be released to a
parent. Kids at Worship is offered
during both worship services for children ages 3 years to third grade.
